New Year

Happy New Year everyone. I hope this coming year will be full of blessings for your life. I am going to be seeking out the Lord in what His direction is for me in 2011. I know His love is what I depend upon and I put my whole trust in Him. Even when things or people disappoint I will never be disappointed in Him. He has always given me the best of Himself and has taken me under his wings of protection. This year will be a year of newness and expanding my horizons to fit His will. I leave behind 2010 and glean what I need for 2011. I leave behind the hurt from past experiences and go forward into the newness of the Lord. This year is the year of twenty eleven and we will experience more of His glorious heaven.

The Ride

The train of my life rolls gently along the rail going forward to my new destiny as I close my eyes and lean back and trust this ride I am on. Where will I end up on this journey to the unknown and I think to myself, life is good. I love riding this train of destiny and this train of promise taking me to what I was created to be.

The Barn

I went to see my sister for Christmas and I saw this barn and stopped to take pictures. This turned out so cool that I wanted to share. It looks like I took a black and white but I didn't. I love old barns and it is hard to capture their essence sometime but I did on this one. There is an old tire swing next to it. Can't you just picture children playing while their father milks his cows for the day. I can still hear their laughter echoing over the hills as they swing upon that tire in the morning light of day. Now years have gone by and the weathered boards cannot keep out the cold winter's day. Life goes forward and never looks back.

The Weekend

Man,what a week I have had three days off and getting paid. The weather has been wonderful. I love the snow but not the ice so much. Well I am heading towards the weekend of fun. I am going to the new Narnia movie and I am checking out the singles dance group if the weather holds out. I am going to have such a blast and enjoy some leisure time. I might even go downtown Franklin again to take pictures if it isn't too cold and do some window shopping. Life is what we make of it and I am enjoying this life I am living to the fullest, nothing held back and embracing new people, new encounters and new friends along the way. Weekend of fun is on it's way!!!!

Snow

It has been snowing all day and we are getting a lot and it is wonderful. I am hoping it will happen on Christmas Eve. When we have snow it makes everything seem so quite and still as if we are in a different time and place. Fire in fireplace, watching White Christmas and having hot soup makes a special day. I sure do love the snow.

It's 19 degrees right now and it is close to 9 in the am. Wow I do believe we will have a white Christmas this year, well that is what I am hoping for. This year is a lean year for most but it can be overflowing if we stop and enjoy the moments we have with others. It is not how much we purchase but what was purchased for us in the birth, death and resurrection of our dear Savior. It's so easy to get caught up in the material instead of why we celebrate Christmas. Stop and take a moment to breathe in the Spirit of the Lord and understand the purpose of your lives. Just as the angles spoke two thousand years ago when they visited lowly shepherds in the field I decree Peace on earth and good will toward men. Merry Christmas.
