Christmas List

CHRISTMAS LIST: 1. Peace on Earth (for real…I’m talking about the real peace…Prince of Peace. It is the peace that the shepherds were told about while tending their flocks, the peace in you when He is the center of your life, the peace that passes all understanding. That kind of peace isn’t created by man it only comes from the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Peace on Earth is number one on my Christmas list.

2. Joy to the World is number two on my list. Joy is hard to come by especially in this world full of hardship. Joy doesn’t come all wrapped up with a nice bow on top. It bubbles up from within you by His touch. It is also a choice to be embraced by seeing His face and not looking at the troubles or the lack in your life but by knowing deep in your heart that He came to this earth as a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a manger for everyone’s salvation. Yes, joy to the world is the joy of knowing the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

3. I want to be wise like the Wise Men that traveled great distances to bring gifts to Jesus Christ the King. They found written in the skis the birth of the Savior and they believed and then took action. It took them three years to reach Him and nothing would stop these Wise Men from bringing the Messiah the gifts for a Prophet, Priest and King. Myrrh was given to prophets as a gift because of the bitterness that prophets would sometimes speak. Frankincense was given as a gift to the priest because they used it as incense to burn as they approached the altar in worship. Gold was always brought as a gift to kings because it was a valuable, precious metal and it symbolizes wealth and royalty. I want to be like the Wise Men and honor Christ with my gifts of obedience, (like myrrh’s bitterness it is hard to let go of my own desires and ways of doing things) love and devotion (love is valuable and precious and given from the heart it is pure gold) worship (like the sweet aroma of frankincense as I live my life in worship for the Lord) So number 3 on my Christmas list has to be… becoming wise like the Wise
Men!

4. I think to hear the herald angles singing glory to the Risen King and joining in would be an incredible experience. It would beat hands down anything materialist on this earth. Can you imagine what that would sound like? Yes, that is what I want to experience, to sing with angles about how wonderful and beautiful our Lord Jesus is. Wow, two thousand years ago, the angles came to the shepherds tending their flock and told them of the birth of Emmanuel and then the angles began to sing of His great glory! Therefore, number four on my list is definitely to sing with the angles!

5. For Christmas this year I want to become the manger. It’s an odd gift but think about it like this. The manger was carved and built by the carpenter’s hand creating something from a tree to hold nourishment. It wasn’t made from silver or gold and it wasn’t displayed on a fine table for everyone to admire. This manger was found in a barn where Jesus was laid gentle down and the Messiah, the King of all Kings and the Light for this world, the Manna from Heaven is where he rested. To carry this beautiful gift in a humble way is my desire and to be craved and crafted by His hand so others can see The Light of His glorious presence in me. Number five on my Christmas list is to become “The Manger.”

When I was coming home from work tonight I saw a falling star and made a wish...I then thought of this song and found the words and they really touched me.

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Butterfly On My Shoulder

If anyone knows me they understand my love of butterflies. It has to do the place I am going, coming out of the old and into the new full of color, life and beauty. Well this morning while I was outside a butterfly landing on my left shoulder and sat there for a good 5 minutes resting it's little body. It touched something deep in me as I watched it fold and unfold it's wings. I am it seems out of the cocoon and struggling to get the last remains of it off of my life. It is making me stronger but I feel so weak so resting on the shoulder of my Beloved will strengthen me for what lies ahead. This sweet little butterfly has helped me to put my focus back where it needs to be. It is my time.

Truth Verses Reality

Don’t let the reality of your life distract you from the truth of your destiny. Set your face toward the light in you and then your reality will align itself with the truth that is in the cocoon of your purpose. It is waiting to emerge with the beauty of the unseen promise becoming the truth in reality. Looking with dove’s eyes will propel you toward your true self and worth and then you will see with clarity His will and love that is incubating within the matrix of your soul. If you perceive the hardships of life as nonessential to your growth then hopelessness will set in and then you will not be able to hear the call of our Beloved. Now is the time to realign with truth and see the completion of the promise. Do not give up or be discouraged or fearful but be of good cheer. Joy is the truth that always combats the reality of fear. Eat the fruit of the Spirit as stated in Gal 5:22; Eph 5:9 and you will see a difference in how you deal with the place of where you are in your life. Live in the moment but push toward the goal and learn and forgive the mistakes of your past.

I miss the country and really need to take a short weekend out of the city. That will be on my list of things to do. I took some photos of horses and cows the other day and really enjoyed watching them grazing slowly across the field. It was raining lightly and it was so peaceful. The time spent with these beautiful creatures was refreshing.
